I seriously have not been keeping track of the days. I have to constantly check our itinerary (laugh now but when you are looking for your res # for your rental car in all the paperwork in your bag, you will be wishing you had an itinerary).
Today we moved from one resort to another. It was literally a block away from where we were staying.
The sucky thing about our entire trip is that im still in work mode. Every time we go to another hotel I inspect the room. Or i rate the front desk agents at their checking in skills. So far only one hotel has been good. I will post the hotels i traveled to after my vacation. More pics to come. Im just too lazy to convert the 8mgpx pics to a smaller file so they can fit here. So you are going to have to wait because I am on vacation. I have to say, I'm very proud of the hotel I work for and would not trade it for anything.
Oh yeah,
Update on the last 2 days of activities. We dedicated one day as our Chilax day.
The following day we went on a road trip to Kula Botanical Garden. Im a nature person and love the outdoors. Their garden has been in the family for 35 years i think. It was beautiful. Again, I will not pretend to know all the names of the trees, flowers and plants (although 15 years ago I was in a horticulture club) but take my word that they had a wide variety of things to look at.
Today is my 2 year wedding anniversary. I feel that we just got married but at the same time feel like an old soul that has grown with her mucho. But then again we have a lot of things that we need to experience as a married couple.. Kids for example, or growing old and wrinkly together. I feel that the lord hits our "reset" button whenever we hit a new plateau in our relationship. What I mean is that we have to learn to deal with each other in a new situation or circumstances. True that we know each other already but its a small adjustment period. Again im going to use kids, here comes the lord, "reset for you", and bam we are pregnant. Now the husband (me) would have to learn a great deal of new things. Wife would have to get ready for the new changes to her body and hormones. Then we have a child..here comes the lord again "reset" and just like Emerald....BAM... You are now parents. Dad learns do's and don'ts of childcare. Mom would again go through new hormones, how to change her child, both parents waking up to feed the baby, ect. The point is that when we feel that we are in a confort zone, our reset button is pressed and we learn new things about life. In the elevator today came in a couple with their 2 kids, they were about 4 and 5. Then another passanger, an elderly couple. I was thinking "Wow, a representation of stages in life". I would have said that if another family with teenagers would have popped in the elevator. That and the carpet of the elevator needed to be shampooed, dirty wet dog smell.
Now I'm just rambling. My point, these are some things that we are going to go through in life. Our second anniversary.. we have a long way to go. :)

No Hawaiian Punch yet
Today's mission is to find some Hawaiian punch.
I have the Hawaii five-o episode and plenty of palm trees. No spam yet though.
I have compiled a lot of ketchup pics. Will post later today.

Waikiki Day 2 and 3
For some reason im tired. I need a vacation from this vacation.
Day 2 brought on snorkling at Haunauma Bay. Beautiful. Concierge said that we were too late due to the parking being full by now (10am, yeah we started late). We ended up going anyway. "sorry lots full", said the attendant. :(
"you are going to have to drive up and down the road and check back later". double :(
We took some pictures with the other tourists at a scenic view area close to the Bay.
We got lucky because we turned around and went back to the lot and lo and behold it was open.. tripple :)
Again, the entire place was beautiful. I must say that people are charged for everything. Its understood but when you get charged for the free chips at a mexican restaurant.....no bueno man, no bueno.
Going back to the bay, it took 20 minutes to aid my wife in getting familiar with her snorkling gear. She's a fast learner, im proud of her. Saw plenty of fish, yellow, pink, blue, and even red just like ketchup bottles. Ok, maybe not red and just for your information I don't feel like looking up the names of the native fish that we saw, so i give you colors.
We must have been there for about 3 and a half hours. I figured out that my hispanico brown skin does burn, but i will survive.
We worked up an appetite and went to a Mexican joint (out of all places) called La Cucaracha. Another 6 dolla fruit drink...
Walked off the dinner and called it a night.

Im here, Im here
We finaly landed at Honolulu, Hawaii.
Actually, we were delayed for about an hour in LAX while a part was being replaced in the airplane that has something to do with the air inside the cabin. This does not add to my jitters of flying. There are 3 things that I am afraid of, heights, flying and running out of ketchup with the perfect meal.
Any who after take off (cluthching my wife's hand and saying a little prayer) I came to a realization that books (i bought 2 books and was reading one of them during the flight) are movies that are really long but entertaining, I finished about half of my book (where's waldo). Books name is "generation kill". Just stories about the Iraq war and views of why and what the U.S was doing there.
I do have to say that American Airlines really sucks, the only reason that my wife and I flew with them was that they had given us a voucher for $250.00 because they had lost my wife's luggage last year while in Germany (they found it a week later). This experience was not any better. I will tell you why. They did not loose any luggage but delayed us an hour from take off, the restrooms kinda smelled the ailes and they showed "hairspray" as the inflight movie. But we landed safely and were now in Hawaii. First and last time, first and last time.
We landed about 8p and took the shuttle to the enterprise location. Yes i will take the insurance (i dont know what kind of drivers are here in Hawaii, besides, it was raining) "i have a deal for you", said the confident agent. "For 3 more dollars a day, we can upgrade you to a Nissan Maxima or a Mustang convertible". "Sure, why not" i replied. This was an 08 maxima with a keyless ignition, "neat".
Got to the hotel (Hyatt, im sorry) checked in with the best front desk agent i have seen in a while. I was going through my check list while being checked in, "smiled at us, check, welcomed us, check, used name 3 times check check check. "mahalo, enjoy your stay".
humm, nice. Room has a nice view as you see.

We knock out..
Next day
we head out for some breakfast, and ended up in a burger joint that sells what seemed to be pinapple juice with whip cream on top for 6 dollars!! fiddlesticks, said I to myself after my wife got one (sorry babe, i just had to bring it up, but six dolla fo juice? thats at least two 3 lb ketchup bottles from costco)
We really did not have a solid itenirary for today. We ended up going to Diamond Head Crater (by the way I know that this is a nice hyke up the crater, tee hee, wife does not know that)(I love my wife to death but she should do more outdoor stuff)
Anywho, joke was on me because 500 meters up the hyke trail we go back. No explanation needed.

After that we drive through the area and got lost for a bit.
We did a big U turn and went to Pearl Harbor. After that I asked my wife "Since you are my navigator, what is on this freeway if we keep going?", "Pineapple plantation babe". I told her that was great.
Got to the Dole plantation and it was pretty big. I confirmed the story in which pineapples in the entrance of the hotel i work for is to show people that they are welcome and that they should eat because there is plenty of food.
Took a cute train tour ride throughout the plantation. Ate pineapple of course. There was a maze in the plantation that was in the 2001 guiness book of world record for being the biggest, i think. You know that i was going to go in there with my wife. They gave us 6 stations that we needed to look for in the maze (to make it more fun). There was also a bulletin board in the entrance indicating the best times that people have gone in the maze and completed the task of finding the stations. The guys name was on the bulletin board with a time of SIX minutes completion. Wow..
An hour later when my wife and I finished and left the maze we agreed that we were not to do that again any time soon.

We left the Dole plantation and headed north to where else, North Shore. Fo sho brah.
Big waves and really bad public restrooms. "Ok lets go back to the hotel", i told my wife. "By the way, where is your cell phone?" ...Turns out the cell phone was left at the burger breakfast place.
We were about an hour from the hotel when we left North Shore. Looking back and thinking to myself, drinking coconut/mango/pineapple juice, eating ice cream, drinking water, and having a sandwhich do not go well in my stomach.I had this during the couple of hours that we were at the plantation. This was not a good combination and my stomach was really getting this message accross.
Im getting my directions from my navigator and am praying that i make it on time back to the hotel to use the restroom. Lets just say that i could have sworn that the restroom in the hotels parking lot was built just for me to use in the year 2007. Nevermind that the hotel was built in 1926, that bathroom today was built for me back in 26.
Rested a bit and then went to have "Old Spaghetti Factory". Yeah I know, why old spaghetti? well i felt like eating baked chicked, SO que?

Hawaii
Wednesday, November 21, 2007

All of you know that im down to eat anything with ketchup on it. So 2 days ago 2 of my co-workers went to TJ and brought back some tacos from a taco stand.
"They are still good, just pop it in the microwave and they are good to go". ahemm.
Somehow i should have placed ketchup on it, but i did not. Anywho, the result was an upset stomach. Dang, so im sick during my days off. I could have sworn that my hispanico stomach was capable of holding anything. Memo to self, never eat tacos that were imported from south of the border. Ahoooaa.
