First of all let me say that I did not expect to see that many hispanicos at El Torito Grill.
It was a happy day and a sad one at that, my son had finally tried........ a tortilla........
The sad part was that the tortilla was a flour tortilla. Yeah, yeah, i know, but we like corn tortilla over flour any day of the week (except for burritos, that is the only good thing a flour tortilla is good for).
He took a taste and we waited, he put more in his mouth again and started chewing!!!! For some reason at this point in my life im easily amused. My dish (chicken tacos) has a side dish of beans (i still make them better). I decided that Gavin should be introduced to more hispanic dishes.. Allllrighhhht!!! "sayyyy aaaaaa". He really enjoyed beans too for some reason.
Our waitress was a pro, a pro in a sense of trying to push up the tab, resulting in a bigger tip. "No Gracias". I speak spanish, i know what's up...
I chuckled when she said that she had lost her name tag because my wife questioned her name that she quoted us when being seated to the name tag she was wearing. ayyy ya yayyy, no bueno. I dislike fake mexican food.

Dim sum and some.
Dim sum is great. The only thing that i do not like is when the over zealous servers bring everything at once. Yes i understand that they need to give fast service but what ends up happening is that everyone in your table orders 2 to 3 different things. No bueno since it ends up being wayy too much food.
I personally enjoyed one server that was just the like guy from the movie Mr. Deeds. The spaniard that would woosh right next to you. This server was awesome, i would speak to my son and woosh, there he was to my left making an announcement of what he brought to the table. He would really squish in between me and the other person in the table. Woosh he would disappear as fast as he came to the table.

What time is it?
Oh my lordy lord. What time is it? The things a husband does to honor his wife. All i was asked was to update all the pics on the laptop. Funny thing was that as i was uploading pics to it when the darn laptop said, "yo man, there is no more memory up in this hood" so i said, no problem. I wipped out the old iomega 500GB external memory drive!!!. I had moved all pics there except for 08 and 09 just so we can access them from the laptop fastest. Long story short i decided to delete 08 and back up 09 (along with the 8gb of video and pics from the camera) all was going well when Mr. laptop tells me that its going to be an hour to copy the 28gbs of pics/video from the 08 folder to the external drive!!. im not sure if that made sense, im tired and have to work soon. The baby should be getting up soon for his 4am bottle. Gavin went to sleep at 9p i think.
Any who, he started to take his first crawling steps. I know its not a big deal, but when all he could do was crawl backwards this is pretty mayor (remember my wife and i replaced all the j's with y's in any word)
i already lost my train of though since the pics just finished uploading and saving and deleting and moving.. so i love ketchup and here are a few pics of Gavin

Im back--

Im back and better than ever. I mean, im getting some sleep (we are getting some sleep) /...
Gavin is 7 1/2 months and he has been in his crib sleeping tightly for about 1 month now. We finally have him sleeping in his crib (our procrastination came from him being in his brace, and partially our reluctance to let him go on his own). After months of inconsistent sleeping (waking up in the middle of the night) in our part, we decided to have him weaned from our bed. The ban was made complete by trying something called the Ferber method. Initially it calls for some crying but results are seen within 2 days to a week. Gavin started to sleep soundly on night 3. He is now conditioned that as soon as he hits the crib, he understands that it is time for bed. Of course you have to follow routine and do's and don'ts. But his routine as with many parents is, bath, bottle, story book, bed. Routine is important and children need it. I love routine for some reason, but i enjoy my side trips too.
Oh sleep and blogging, i love you.
